Spectrum providers work with many public and private schools to meet the increasing demands of educating students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other social communication challenges including Asperger’s Syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, and Non-Verbal Learning Disorder.
Spectrum provides a variety of support services to schools on an as-needed basis, including:
Spectrum’s Behavior Specialists work with your staff to conduct a thorough Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) and develop a classroom appropriate Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) around the needs of a single student. We then provide modeling and training to key staff to allow them to take over the intervention roles on site as we fade our services moving the focus away from the behavior and back to education.
Student and Program Intervention and Support
When a student or classroom is in crisis, schools can contact our Education and Behavior Specialists to help. Our outstanding reputation of creating, implementing and teaching student and classroom interventions that work has earned us top marks from area school districts who have utilized our services.
Social Skills Instruction
Not every school has educators trained to implement an effective social skills program. Spectrum provides staff, materials and knowledge right on your own campus. We will implement a social skills program on your site and either carry it through independently or train your staff in the skills needed to independently teach social skills once training is complete.
In Home / Community Training
Spectrum’s highly qualified staff can provide Related and Supplementary services to your students when your staff cannot meet the demand.
Our Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists can provide evaluation, IEP recommendations (when appropriate), and direct services as well as staff training on your site, in the community or at our facility.
