In addition to our social and recreation skills groups, Spectrum offers staff development, recreation therapy, behavior consultation, parent coaching, advocacy support and other services as needed to support our clients.

  

Staff Development

Spectrum staff have significant experience in providing training to educators, parents and community members on a variety of topics. Just a few of the presentations we have recently presented include:

Recreation Therapy

Spectrum’s Recreation Therapy services involve taking students into the community (either 1:1 or in group format) to practice social interaction skills while learning and participating in recreation activities.  This service is provided by Certified Recreation Therapy Specialists (CTRS).  Clients may pay privately at $70/hr or access services through CLASS funds.

Behavior Consultation

Spectrum offers behavior consultation services to families that include assessment, observation, intervention and program design.  Our BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) consults in home and school settings and collaborates with families, educators and care-givers to develop strategies for positive behavior supports and change.  $70/hr.
  

Parent Coaching

Spectrum staff are happy to provide 1:1 parent coaching and training in any area of need regarding your child's behavior, education or other area of need.  Rate = $60/hr. 
  

Advocacy Support

Spectrum staff are happy to provide advocacy support to families working in collaboration with their child's school.  Our approach is one of support, collaboration and a focus on the student's needs and how they can best be met for optimal educational outcomes. Advocacy support can include observation of the student at school, consultation with school staff, consultation with family, ARD attendance, recommendation report or other services as determined in initial consult.  Rate = $60/hr.
