Social & Recreation Skills Training

Spectrum offers social and recreation skills training to meet the social communication needs of clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and similar social communication differences.  Our goal is to provide the specific skill training and practice for effective social interaction in the client’s everyday life as well as enhance participation in group recreation activities for lifelong enjoyment of physical group activities.  The difficulties in social communication that our clients face can have lifelong effects including social isolation, poor reading comprehension, school dropout, lower employment rates and depression.  It is our goal to give our clients the tools they need to be successful, fulfilled, members of their community who participate in a  variety of social activities.

Training and Education for Schools and Families

Spectrum staff is experienced working with students, families and school staff to assist with the many challenges presented in working and living with individuals with social communication challenges. Some of the services we offer include:
